Gamification & trophies
Settings → Gamification tunes the game layer of TaDone — whether adults play too, whether the points economy adapts on its own, and which trophies your family can earn. Any tutor with editing rights can change these.

Adult points and streaks, dynamic difficulty and the per-child factor list.
Points and streaks for adults
Section titled “Points and streaks for adults”Turn this on so parents and educators also earn points and streaks for their own tasks — useful when the whole family is playing together.
Dynamic difficulty
Section titled “Dynamic difficulty”Automatic points economy adjustment nudges the points economy toward each child’s progress, once a week. When it’s on, choose how it adapts:
- Increase reward cost — rewards cost more points.
- Reduce points earned — tasks award fewer points.
A current factor per child list shows each child’s multiplier (for example, ×1.0) — it’s read-only and updates automatically.
Trophies
Section titled “Trophies”Trophies are goals that progress on their own as a child does an activity. Create a trophy template:
-
Tap Add trophy.
-
Pick an icon, title, description, and the source activity — tasks completed, positive actions, rewards redeemed or sleep logged — plus the metric to count (the minutes metric is only available for sources that track duration).
-
Set the base requirement for level 1, the increment per level, the points per level, an optional level cap, and who the trophy applies to.
-
Add it — from then on it fills up automatically as the child does the activity.
Trophy fields
Section titled “Trophy fields”Each trophy template is built from these fields:
- Icon — the emoji shown for the trophy. Optional; defaults to 🏆.
- Title — the trophy’s name, e.g. Voracious reader. Required.
- Description — a short line describing the goal, e.g. Read 10 books. Required.
- Source — the activity that makes it progress: tasks completed, positive actions, rewards redeemed or sleep logged. Required — pick one.
- Metric — what to count: Count (how many times the activity happens) or Minutes (accumulated time). Defaults to Count.
- Base requirement — the amount needed to reach level 1. At least 1; defaults to 10.
- Increase per level — how much more each level needs than the one before. 0 or more.
- Points per level — bonus points granted on reaching a level, multiplied by the level number. 0 or more; defaults to 10.
- Max level — how many levels the trophy has. At least 1, or leave blank for No limit (the default).
- Applies to — the members who can earn it. Leave empty to include every eligible member.
