Kid Mode: how children use TaDone

TaDone has a dedicated, playful space for children. It is big, colourful and made for small fingers — full of sounds, animations and rewards that make daily routines feel like a game. This section is written for you, the parent, so you know exactly what your child sees and does inside Kid Mode.

How your child signs in

Children have no separate login. Kid Mode is simply a view of your own account — you open it for them. Because children share your account, there is no password for a child to remember and nothing for them to set up.

1. Sign in to TaDone as usual, then open the profile picker.

2. Tap your child’s avatar (for example Sofia, Miguel or Tomás).

3. Optionally turn on Lock profile so your child stays in their own view and can’t switch profiles or sign out.

4. Confirm — the app opens your child’s playful home screen.

Locking the profile

When you lock the profile, the header menu hides Switch profile and Sign out, so you can hand the phone to your child and they’ll stay put. Unlock it (from the profile picker) whenever you want to switch back to a grown-up view.

The child home screen

Once you’re in, every page sits inside the child shell — the friendly frame your child sees on every screen.

At the top your child sees:

• Their avatar and a warm greeting.
• Their points total, shown next to a gold star coin.
• A daily snapshot: current streak, unlocked badges, and today’s goals.

At the bottom is the tab bar, the main way your child moves around. Depending on which features you’ve turned on, it can include:

The home tab — points, recent wins, streak and today’s goals.

Routine

Today’s tasks to tick off, grouped by routine.

Actions

The good-behaviour moments they’ve been recognised for.

Rewards

The catalogue of rewards to spend points on.

Sleep

Bedtime and wake-up, plus their sleep history.

Messages

A simple family chat with you.

Tabs follow the modules you enable

A child only sees a tab for a feature you’ve switched on for them. Turn a module off and that tab disappears — and if your child ever lands on a page for a feature that’s off, TaDone gently sends them back to the Today home screen.

The header menu

Tapping the avatar in the header opens a small menu:

• Statistics — opens your child’s Today dashboard.
• Options — opens the trimmed child settings.
• Switch profile and Sign out — only when the profile is not locked.

The “Today” home

The Today tab is your child’s home and their safe landing spot. Instead of the grown-up analytics dashboard, it’s a friendly set of tiles:

• A big points tile.
• A notifications tile with an unread count.
• A strip of recent actions they’ve earned.
• Recent rewards cards.
• A streak summary.
• Today’s goals and the badges they’ve unlocked.

A fresh child simply sees zeros and empty strips until they start earning — the screen fills up as they complete their routine.

Playful touches

The whole shell can wear a playful theme your child picks in their settings — some even paint an animated background. There’s an optional pointer-trail effect, completion sounds, celebration animations, and a floating chat button. See Messages & themes to set these up.

Note

A timeline of everything your child has done exists too, but it’s a review tool for grown-ups — it doesn’t appear as a tab in Kid Mode. You’ll find it in the parent Progress views.
