Routines & tasks

Routines and tasks are the heart of TaDone. This is where each family member’s day is laid out, where tasks get ticked off, and where points are earned.

TaDone has two kinds of to-do:

  • A task is a one-off — a single thing to do on a single day. Use it for something that happens once, like “Tidy the garage on Saturday”.
  • A routine is a repeating template. You pick the weekdays it runs on, and TaDone automatically creates a fresh task from it on every one of those days. Use it for the things that come round again and again, like “Brush teeth” every morning.

Every task carries a points value. When it’s marked done — by the child or by a parent — those points are added to the member’s day, their day progress bar fills, and once everything for the day is finished they get a trophy and a congratulations message. Points feed the rewards the family sets up.

Tasks and routines can be assigned to any family member except therapists — children as well as guardians. Calendar events are the one exception: only owners and educators can add or change them.
